Matthew 7:16-20 New International Version (NIV)

¹⁶ By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? ¹⁷ Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. ¹⁸ A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. ¹⁹ Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. ²⁰ Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

Let’s talk about being chivalrous.

I was in the grocery store the other day and saw an older lady struggling to pick up a 24 pack of water. I watched three guys walk right pass this lady without even trying to assist so I had to go help. I walked up to her fast while she was still trying to bend over to pick up the water and said Mam I got that don’t worry. The smile that went across her face was priceless. After I place the water on her cart she pulls me to the side and says, “Thanks young man. Your mom sure raised a fine gentleman.” When an older lady tells me this I always feel like I gained real gentleman points. I always cherish when a woman is receptive to a true gentleman because there are a lot of phonies out here that play games. Every man has the potential to be a gentleman because we put on to pursue a woman and we intend on everything to be nice as it should be. Even if we aren’t trying to pursue her at that moment, a woman of substance will make a man come correct.

I’m sure it can be frustrating for a woman to distinguish between the real and fake but I think the bible verse from Matthew will give you ladies a glimpse on what to look for. In the beginning of the verse it says, you will recognize them by their fruits. When it comes to being a man, we all are judged by our words and actions period. I know for the women you always must judge a man by his actions, just as a gentleman would do the same for you. God put purpose in a gentleman so you should see him making moves and being able to show some type of progress while helping you advance with your goals. The man for you should be stretching your way of viewing the world and also absorbs your views as something that can help him grow.

A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. I am a big believer in the law of attraction. The kind of energy we put out there comes back to us in some way. I believe when God knows it’s not real he will expose it. A gentleman doesn’t have time to bring bad vibes your way because that only messes up the union God is trying to create. So in the meantime ladies don’t accept less than. God put us men out here to be the gentleman your grandma taught you to be.

Ladies all I ask is, when I open the door for you, say “Thank you.” (Or the next time I might let it smack the back of your ankles lol) I know you are working hard day and night. You are a queen and super woman in one! But you are never too busy or distracted to recognize when a gentleman is right in front of you. Don’t miss out on a good thing.
