Joshua 1:9 New International Version (NIV)
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
It’s fitting to start with the bible verse from Joshua as we end this month and move into December. I was blessed to see 27 this month on the 18th so life has been interesting as I keep getting reminded how close to 30 I’m getting. God has granted me more time to get my message out to you all so I will keep bettering myself in all areas. I feel that everyone can relate to Joshua 1:9 because in these times of transition we all need that spirit of courage and faith to take that next step that will get us to the next level. If this year hasn’t been as well as you wanted it to be, have no fear you have another month to set a solid foundation going into 2016. I’ve learned many lessons this year but the one that has resonated with me the most is: Don’t focus on so many things and be faithful to few.
Stephen Curry has taking it to another level and is locked in with that winning attitude. That’s inspiring to a person like me wanting to make my mark in this world. Each of us has a gift that we can win big with if we really put some focus and effort to it.
I know we have all tried some things during 2015 that weren’t successful because it just didn’t go with our natural strengths. For December try just focusing on one small thing that can improve your life and will give you a sense of accomplishment. God wants us all to win big in life or we wouldn’t be here still. The struggles will always come but it’s all about how we respond to them moving forward.
Speaking of transition, I know December is when a lot of people make their New Year’s resolutions. Have that courage to raise the bar higher for yourself as God would want us all to. I’m doing this personally because I believe it’s time to have better in life and I hope you feel the same. There’s a saying that goes “If it is to be, it is up to me.” I see that as a quote speaking to all of us. Don’t let your past determine your future, keep in mind that there is greater and go after that.
