In a world where so many things can be going on with our lives that can have us down, having good friends and family is very important. This weekend I got to celebrate with Founder, Winnie Caldwell, for her 3 year anniversary of The Wire Hanger by Winnie.
Taking that risk back in 2012 is paying off for her big time. I’m grateful for the platform she has given me to speak my truth with many people of the world reading this right now. It’s always good to see your friend’s progress with their projects because you know they’re putting in that work.
When was the last time you supported one of your friend’s dreams or told them they can do anything they put their minds to?
Positive affirmations on the daily to our loved ones go along ways. I was sad I wasn’t able to attend the Million Man March but I’m ready to see what happens from here. Thousands of brothers returning home to their families very motivated for change is a great thing. I know the brothers returning back to St. Louis from D.C. has some plans in order so I can see some great change coming. We can’t escape using teamwork to win these battles.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”
Everybody has a responsibility to help using the god given talents you have already.
How do we get there?
- The more we come together as one, the better things will continue progress in our homes, communities, and nation.
- Start to practice adding more value to everyone you come around without wanting anything in return.
- Congratulate people when they do something good because we all know how much good recognition affects the mental of each person in a positive way to do more.
As the great John S. Mbiti says,
“I am because WE are and since we are, therefore I am.”
