I’ve had some interesting conversations in the last few days about getting to the next level of life. I was rapping with one of the big homies yesterday morning before we went to clean up the
community in St. Louis and he basically said, “How can you expect to reach the next level in the same version you are in now without taking risks to improve?” This made me really sit down to think on what I was doing to progress as a man. It made me think of Jeremiah 29:11 which says:

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

When I saw that I started to understand that what I thought was the true plan I had for myself was just a blur to what God really had for me. We all have our moments when we really want something to happen for us, but are blind to the factors that could be holding us back from it. It could be something small like not being organized which can lead to procrastination. Or it can be something big like an addiction to drugs or alcohol which can kill you from the inside out if not controlled properly. We all will reach our ultimate destination of happiness, but it won’t happen staying the same person as we started in the beginning of the journey. This is something I just want to remind everybody of because I want us all to be the greatest version of ourselves. When you get a chance I want you to do the following:

-Take a piece of paper a draw a line down the center.

-On the left side put down everything you have at this current moment, doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad.

-On the right side put everything you want in life and don’t hold back with it.

-Now examine both sides and then think of what you have to change to receive what you wrote down on the right side of the paper.

What you have done is start to take responsibility for yourself and your dreams.

We are moving into a new season starting Wednesday so you have a chance to make a new route for yourself. It’s time for the real you to change the world.
