Andre 3000 stated that like any man exiting the game would. An older woman asked me recently, “What would make a man give up the game and settle down?” I had to really had to think of what my mentors told me. I thought of my mentors that have been married for over ten years and came up with a few points.
“What would make a man give up the game and settle down?”
- Reason – Proverbs 18:22 states:
“Whoso findeth a wife finds a good thing and obtain favour from the Lord.”
I’m a firm believer in when the student is ready the teacher will show up. In a world that’s so sex conscious 24/7, every man has to learn his way to understand what’s really good for him. I believe that God puts a man through his own journey to love and happiness. He allows for us as men to learn through trial and error plus fear of loss which leads to the season..
- Season- To my belief, God makes a man lose out on a few good women on purpose to prepare him for the one he is destined to have. The signs somehow align when the season occurs. You see clearly that she brings a special type of energy that you have been wanting, but was afraid to pursue her in the past. This occurs when God instills strength in a man to pursue that woman, for long-term love, and happiness. Fear of loss will remind him to finally cherish what he has, when God puts her into his life.
- Creating- 1 Corinthians 11:9 states
“Neither was the man created for the woman, but the woman for the man.”
Real recognizes real. A man who knows why he wants a certain woman. He knows that when it is his time to experience the love he seeks, he will definitely want to create a legacy with her. He will build up her strengths and help strengthen her weaknesses so they can both maximize their talents.

Great points and wonderful description of the journey to love from a man’s point of view. Ladies stand back, and take a second look at that MAN that won’t give up. He has set aside time for YOU, for YOUR smile he sleeps and rises early, for YOUR smile his life now comes second..Ladies, don’t cheat yourself by what you see..
