• Mind of a Man Monday: How Can I Make a Change?

    By Gerard McClure Jr.

Romans 12:6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith.

In a year where many may want to move out the country in November if ol Mc Donald gets in office I sit and ask myself as a man “What I am going to do?” I could leave out the country myself. I’m not married or have kids, but then how would I be able to really make change where I’m from?

Ask yourself, how can I make a change?

At times God let’s chaos take place in our lives to see who will dig deep to bring out our best. With all the God given talents we posses as individuals, it’s time for all us to evaluate how we can elevate that which we were given. I thought I was doing a  good deed with the community clean ups I assist with every Sunday until last week when I was humbled dearly cleaning out a crack house on the westside of St Louis on Martin Luther King. It almost brought tears to my eyes seeing so many needles just laying around. That has sparked a fire in me to do way more. There is more that needs to be cleaned than just trash in the streets.

I don’t know what it could be for you but with these last 4 months of the year coming up, use whatever motivation you need to get closer to the vision God presented to you. Here are 3 questions you can consider moving forward.

    1. Am I living through others opinion or by my faith and trust in God for my vision?

    2. If I don’t do it, who will?

    3. If God is with me, who can be against me?

With that being said I thank you for checking me out for mind of a Man Monday’sand hope you have a blessed week. You can connect with me on Instagram/Twitter @BelieveNYOself, Facebook Gerard McClure Jr. All comments and feedback can be submitted below or emailed to amansmind88@gmail.com.
