• ITS OK TO BE PROUD OF YOURSELF!

AS PEOPLE WE CAN EASILY LOSE FOCUS OF OURSELVES AND TRY TO CONTROL OTHERS OR EVEN COMPETE WITH WHAT THE NEXT PERSON IS DOING. WE WANT A LIFESTYLE BETTER THAN THEIRS, A BETTER CAR, A BETTER HOUSE, ANYTHING TO SAY “THIS IS WHAT I’VE ACCOMPLISHED”. THAT’S OK…..SOMETIMES. EVERYONE’S GOALS ARENT AT THE SAME LEVEL. I SAY ITS EASIER TO START SMALL AND REALISTIC. MAKE A LIST OF GOALS YOU’D LIKE TO REACH DURING A CERTAIN MONTH. TRY 10 FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL. SOMETHING SMALL IN EXAMPLE (PAINT AN ACCENT WALL IN THE BEDROOM, CLEAN OUT OLD CLUTTER, CHANGE YOUR HAIR COLOR, CLEAN OUT YOUR CAR, ETC.). IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE ANYTHING EXTRAVAGANT. ONCE YOU GET THOSE 10 THINGS DONE YOU WILL BE SO PROUD OF YOURSELF. IF IT MOTIVATES YOU MORE, SET A REWARD AT THE END OF YOUR MONTH GOAL (I.E. TREAT YOURSELF TO YOUR FAVE RESTAURANT, A NEW MOVIE, A PEDICURE OR LOCAL MASSEUSE). SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD PLAN TO ME! AFTER THAT MAKE LARGER GOALS TO REACH WITHIN A YEAR TIME FRAME! ITS TOTALLY DOABLE! ALL IT TAKES IS FOR YOU TO START! I DID SOME SPRING CLEANING AND FOUND A SMALL CHECKLIST OF GOALS I WANTED TO REACH BY THE END OF 2012…THIS LIST WAS WRITTEN IN NOVEMBER OF 2011. I SKIMMED DOWN THE LIST OF 12 AND NOTICED I REACHED THEM ALL AND IT WAS  ONLY JULY!!!

I’M  PATTING MYSELF ON THE BACK!!! SO SHOULD YOU!

-GOALS for Jan.2012-Dec.2012 were reached July 14, 2012-

You can do it too 🙂
